To the young bodybuilder its not how
much Muscle you can build or how big you can become or how strong you
will get by the time you are 16 or 18 years old. Under this age is your foundation building years to obtain a perfect foundation so that when your body starts to really grow that you have built a massive foundation for you to add all this muscle growth.
The most important thing that you can have done in your younger years is to develop your foundation and to have trained and shaped you body and your muscles to take the massive muscle and growth spurts as you develop into a Teenager and this will start in some around 14 to 15 years of age.
Many Kids start to try and lift heavy weights and really hammer there muscle to grow but in doing this they also cause bones to in many cases become shorter and the muscle to thicken and they start to look like a weightlifter and not a bodybuilder.
In your younger years it is better for you to do the many exercises using the weight of your own body and structure the body ready for the future development.
If you do get into a gym go for the lighter weights and use the flex and tension method of training that you will find elsewhere in these pages
Work to train the muscle and each muscle to look good and have a good development before you rush in to develop mass.
Even in the old days young guys developed very impressive muscles as below by the time they where 15 years old
Make sure that as you develop your muscles that you maintain and keep your body flexible and this will really play off for you are you get older and develop bigger muscles.
Don't over low the muscle when you are very young this can cause you more harm than good and you will turn into a atom ant and kick yourself later when you have found that you have stunted you grow and you never develop you full height or muscle development.
